Social Justice Advocacy

Prayers sustaining activists fighting discrimination, poverty, or human rights violations

Righteous God, Architect of Justice and Fire in the Bones of Prophets,
As we stand in the breach of broken systems, we anchor our hope in You—
not because change comes swiftly, but because Your justice never sleeps.

We thank You for holy discontent.
For eyes that burn at oppression's smirk,
For hands that dismantle hate's scaffolding,
For voices that roar when the vulnerable weep.
"In all things, give thanks."

Forge us as instruments of shalom.
Where policies crush the marginalized,
Make us living petitions: "Let justice roll down like waters,"
Where complacency numbs consciences,
Ignite us with Pentecostal fire.

Sustain us in the long obedience.
When marches fade and legislation stalls,
Remind us: "The arc of history bends toward Your throne,"
When media cycles move on,
Root us in the slow work of redemption.

Convert rage into revolutionary love.
Where bitterness tempts us to mirror oppressors,
Baptize our anger in Jordan's living stream;
Where exhaustion whispers "retreat,"
Prophesy: "Those who wait on the Lord will renew their strength."

Knit diverse warriors into one body.
Break down walls between picket lines and prayer vigils,
Between courtrooms and soup kitchens,
Until Your Church embodies: "The last shall be first."

Liberator Christ, who overturned temple tables,
Make our feet beautiful upon mountains of injustice.
May we shout with Micah: "What does the Lord require? To act justly!"

In Your kingdom-come name, we pray. Amen.
