Intercessions for refugees, minorities, or activists facing violence or discrimination. Rooted in collective resilience and divine justice.
Righteous Judge, Defender of the Oppressed and Father of the Displaced,
As injustice grinds its teeth against the vulnerable, we fix our hope in You—
not because oppression ceases, but because Your justice thunders eternal.
We thank You for unyielding courage.
For refugees stitching new homes from scraps of hope,
For whistleblowers bearing truth’s searing light,
For every "enough!" shouted in tyrants’ faces.
"In all things, give thanks."
Shield the hunted with Your fury.
Where prison walls choke freedom’s song,
Shatter chains with: "Let My people go!";
Where borders slam shut on desperate souls,
Carve pathways with: "I was a stranger and you welcomed Me."
Transfigure perpetrators with holy fire.
Turn persecutors’ stones into repentance altars,
Bigots’ venom into tears of awakening,
Systems of hate into scaffolds for reconciliation.
"If your enemy hungers, feed them."
Amplify silenced testimonies.
Let cellphone footage become psalms of truth,
Trauma survivors emerge as prophets of resilience,
And every martyr’s cry seed movements of holy rebellion.
"The stone the builders rejected has become the cornerstone."
Forge us into stubborn kin.
When privilege tempts us to look away,
Gouge our hearts with heaven’s grief;
When weariness whispers “retreat,”
Ignite us with: "What does the Lord require? Do justice!"
Crucified Liberator, who dismantled death’s regime,
Make Your Church a sanctuary of holy defiance.
May we march singing: "The last shall be first in Your kingdom!"
In Your revolutionary name, we pray. Amen.
