For those struggling with faith crises, bitterness toward God, or unresolved inner vows
Merciful Father, Pursuer of Wanderers and Restorer of Lost Souls,
In the ashes of our rebellion, we dare to lift empty hands—
not because we deserve mercy, but because Your love runs after prodigals.
We confess our stiff necks and cold hearts.
We chose desertion over devotion,
Pride over purity, shadows over Your light.
Yet You whisper: "Return, for I am your God."
For Your relentless grace that chases us, we weep in gratitude.
Break the chains of defiance.
Shatter idols we clutched in the dark;
Melt cynicism with refining fire;
Breathe life into bones deadened by sin.
"Create in me a clean heart."
Reignite holy longing.
Where rebellion poisoned our vision,
Let us see Your face in the fire of repentance;
Where shame screams "unworthy,"
Roar: "Though your sins are scarlet, they shall be white as snow."
Rebuild ruined altars.
Turn our bitter tears into wells of worship,
Our brokenness into bridges for others,
And our faltering steps into a dance of deliverance.
"If anyone is in Christ, they are a new creation."
Bind us to Your faithfulness.
When old temptations beckon,
Anchor us in the memory of Your cross—
Where Love bore our rebellion’s full cost,
And bloodstained wood became a throne of grace.
Lord Jesus, who turned Saul’s persecution into Paul’s passion,
Transform our wayward hearts into blazing torches of devotion.
May we sing with the redeemed: "He brought me out into spacious places!"
In Your reconciling name, we pray. Amen.
